Course Description

Math can be great fun. Developing math skills can give students a great sense of accomplishment and raise their self-esteem. Students who master this course will take major strides toward speaking the language of mathematics. This course will help the student master the concepts learned in the first six years of their educational life. Each concept is explained and problems are presented to allow the student to develop their skills. Each concept is presented in several ways to allow the student to learn in their own way. The course is offered in a six-unit format containing 5 lessons each for a total of 30 lessons. Students will study text pages, watch videos, interact with flash presentations, and complete practice problems. The pace is controlled by the student and reviewing the material is encouraged.

Course Description

This second half of Basic Math will continue to expand the student's math skills in preparations for algebra and geometry. All concepts are presented in multimedia presentations allowing the student to learn in their own style. This course provides multiple opportunities for the student to learn new concepts, as well as reaching mastery level of basic math skills. Continuing from Math Basics A, this course will help the student master the concepts learned in the first six years of their education. By completing each activity in the lesson, the student will develop a greater understanding of the counting system. By working at their own pace, students can take the time to master concepts and increase their math confidence. The course is offered in a six-unit format each containing 5 lessons for a total of 30 lessons. Students will study text pages, watch videos, interact with flash presentations, and complete practice problems. The pace is controlled by the student and reviewing the material is encouraged.
